POSITION SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE

Sales staff are responsible for communicating the benefits of a company’s products in order to drive sales. Sales staff serve as the point of contact between Mountain Mindful and its prospects or clients and have a range of responsibilities including identifying and educating prospective customers while supporting existing clients with information and assistance that relates to products and services.

Essential Functions

  • Regular attendance is an essential function for all employees. We depend on our employee to show up, begin work and end work at the time their schedule indicates and whenever scheduled to work, aside from extenuating circumstances.
  • Selling products and services using solid arguments to prospective customers
  • Performing cost-benefit analyses of existing and potential customers
  • Maintaining positive business relationships to ensure future sales
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Supply manager with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback

Work Location and Hours of Work

  • Office in West Edge Building: 1040 Vernon St, Huntington, WV
  • Coalfield Development operates on a Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule.
  • This position will be expected to work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday
  • Given the nature of this role – attendance at events may require work after normal hours.
  • Coalfield allows exempt employees to request & use flextime.

Environment Conditions, Physical Activity, Physical Demands

  • Light lifting (up to 25 LBS with or without accommodation).
  • Must be able to work seated or standing at a desk and/or computer.
  • Extensive computer and telephone operation.
  • Driving necessary.

TRAVEL AND TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must provide reliable transportation to their primary work location and other locations as required. Travel expenses (excluding commutes) may be reimbursed per Coalfield’s policies and procedures. Coalfield has a limited fleet of vehicles and frequently carpools to minimize travel burdens on employees. A valid driver’s license and annual completion of our drivers safety course is required in order to drive a Coalfield vehicle.

Required Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in sales
  • Computer proficiency

Preferred Experience and Education

  • Previous experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in a woodworking or screenprinting environment.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Familiarity with screenprinting, design, or woodworking processes and techniques is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
