Sector: Community Services
County: Logan

Heyden Thompson and Kyle Williamson are the co-founders of Logan County Local Helpers (LCLH), a community-driven business in Logan County, West Virginia, dedicated to meeting the needs of neighbors while creating local employment opportunities. Drawing on Heyden’s experiences growing up in foster care and Kyle’s perspective as a husband and father of three, they built LCLH as a platform to provide practical, affordable services while cultivating a culture of generosity and community care. Their mission is to help families, friends, and neighbors access the support they need – whether through affordable paid services or donations from those who want to give back.

LCLH offers a wide range of services including yard work and brush cleanup, demolition and construction, appliance installation, house maintenance, vehicle detailing, scrap and junk removal, pressure washing, indoor cleanup, tech assistance, and handyman or small repairs. By providing these essential services, Heyden and Kyle help individuals and families tackle tasks they might not otherwise be able to manage, while creating meaningful employment and strengthening community connections. Together, they are building what they call an “empire of love and helping hands” – one act of service, and one neighborly connection at a time.
