This five-week training takes place Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm each day. Must have reliable transportation to get to and from the training site.

Participants in this five-week training program receive a $75 daily stipend, while gaining hands-on experience and certifications in CAT heavy equipment simulator operation and other machinery. They will also earn OSHA 10, First Aid CPR, and Lead/Asbestos/Mold Safety certifications. The program includes experience with Coalfield’s light manufacturing social enterprise Mountain Mindful and urban agriculture program Refresh Appalachia. In addition to industry-recognized certifications, participants will focus on personal and professional development, including digital literacy, resume writing, and interview skills. Program graduates will also meet local employers for career opportunities after completion.
