Sassa Wilkes is a WV native artist with a passion for teaching, learning, and collaborating with other artists and community members. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Marshall University. His art practice includes oil portraiture, experimental mixed media, mural work, and monumental public sculpture. He enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, spending time with his family, and playing bass drum with Hoot & Holler, the community marching band he co-founded with his husband.
