Michael “Mike” Burns, originally from Southern Ohio, has recently moved to Huntington, West Virginia, and serves as Associate Director of Saw’s Edge Woodshop. He is a graduate from Marshall University where he studied Literature and History and was part of the graduating class of 2011. Originally pursuing a career in education, Mike’s background helps in the everyday work with the Coalfield Crew Members and Trainees and he has found his niche in the woodshop with hands-on applications combined with sharing some history of woodworking. Mike is a married, father of three and grandfather of one who enjoys reading, music, cartoons, and occasionally gaming.
