Bill Sutterlin is a community developer in Matewan, West Virginia, focused on revitalizing the downtown area. As the owner of several buildings on one side of the street, Bill is transforming them into a hub for entertainment, retail storefronts, lodging, and employment opportunities. He currently operates a small hotel in one of the buildings and is working to secure funding, including an AMLER grant, to continue his revitalization efforts.

Bill’s vision is to create a vibrant downtown that invigorates the local economy, provides jobs, and enriches life for local community members. He approaches development with enthusiasm and perseverance, leveraging previous successes to overcome challenges and bring meaningful change to rural Matewan.
