A Trainee working with Refresh in the Fairfield Community will learn how to and engage in growing and harvesting produce to sell in the local food supply market. Additionally, this cohort may engage in other lawn maintenance and deconstruction projects. This cohort is sponsored by Real Life Christian Center Church for the benefit of the Fairfield Community in Huntington.
  • This employment is as a WRAPS Trainee Cohort sponsored in conjunction with Refresh Appalachia and Real Life Christian Center Church.
  • The employment length is 6-months and the workweek is 33 hours per week @ $11 per hour.
  • Additionally, the Trainee will engage in 3 hours per week of personal development with the opportunity to earn monthly scholarship funding.
  • This position is a blend of work via on-the-job training, education through trainings to earn certificates, and targeted personal development.
  • Upon the 6-month completion of the WRAPS program, the Trainee will receive support in seeking their next employment or may have the opportunity to transition to Coalfield Development’s Crew Member program that includes support in pursuing higher education.
